This is almost a green Dark Ritual that produces red mana instead of black mana! But the best thing is, that's not all: This wall can also block AND destroy a creature! This is really, really good and I'm quite surprised to see such a powerful common in a fairly weak edition like Ice Age. Rating: Easily 5/5

This is wonderful in Jokulhaups decks. It acts as defense in the early turns, and can accelerate your destruction spells that would have destroyed it anyways. Also, in the general case, a Jokulhaups will destroy 6 of your mana producing cards. With this, it may only destroy 5 mana producing cards. Or you will just have extra mana left over to cast stuff after the world is washed away.
Also, the ability sacrifice at will can be relevant. For instance, you can stop a lifelink critter from gaining life for it's controller.

@SonOfSamus :: All walls were given the key word "Defender" on Oracle which means Overgrown Battlement will count them as the rules go by the Oracle wording.

Favorite wall ever. Use it in combo with Orcish Lumberjack for turn two fatty like Thundermare.
