people never see this shit coming after they've discarded a ton of crap that they can't cast. almost makes letting the opponent choose to discard better than random discard... 4.0

This card is naaaaasty, it really is. I agree it can be vicious in land destruction (take out the cards they discard) but it works equally well when you're just forcing them to discard anything. They'll always pick the cards that are worst to them, so it's naturally bad news for them when they're forced to draw those cards for the next X turns.
It's a real gem of a griefer card.

can be good in a pox deck..
its a secret tech against reanimator that wouldn't be a dead card even if you play it main because it can still be used to disrupt..
if timed correctly, its like making an opponent waste 3 turns..especially if you have liliana in play..
all that for just 1 mana..and its instant too..
plus the artwork is awesome..not that is has impact on gameplay i just thought that its worth mentioning..
too bad it can only target opponents..

Because a first turn buried alive is just annoying when you know its going to be followed by a second turn exhume for Sheoldred,.

Excellent advice from a barbarian broad.

This card could result in some pretty frustrating gameplay. Pretty easy to see why it hasn't seen a reprint.

So funny. I really want to use this against some derpy blue mage with a top keeping their counterspell on top of their deck.
Basically, I cast something they don't like and they're like 'I have a response... Activate top' - Welp I have a response too bro! *Cast this*. They draw a land and my spell resolves.
It would be glorious.
But yes. Even with that scenario aside, this can reeaally mess with your opponent. Notice they're a little mana screwed? Throw some of those non-lands back on top of their deck. Notice they have ineffective cards in their graveyard (like a raging goblin in the late game), let them draw into that.
5/5 but I see why this kind of effect has not really been reprinted. It would be hella annoying.

This card and Stunted Growth are some of my faves from this block.

This might be fun tech in Pox. Between the discards and land destruction you can see whether they're going to dig out of it by landing creatures or playing a bunch of lands, then screw them by giving them whatever they already have an abundance of.
It's also some very wonky grave hate and instant speed! Reanimate being cast?
DERK; your stuff is on top of your library silly!
