About as useful as a Little Girl, so it should cost as much too.

Okay, not the hottest card on the Gatherer, but hey...
Turn one blocker that stands up to early aggro like Kird Ape or Isamaru, Hound of Konda.
FIgure of Destiny has to wait awhile to do anything against it.
Survives all those 2 damage burn spells out there, forces the Lightning Bolt before Field Marshal makes him too big.
Or maybe he's an early mini-wall for a U/W control deck, follow up with Wall of Omens?
Not too bad IMO...

I opened this up in a draft and I took it instantly. Still, I looked through it back and forth, surprised not to see any catch what so ever. I was thinking, "this can't be true", 0/3 for W?! with no defender?! And no drawbacks?! What would such a broken card be printed and at common no less! I'm surprised it isn't banned. A must have for any deck even if doesn't have white in it. Splash white, you NEED this card. Too powerful to pass on.

Well me thinks this guy wouldn't be bad in a doran deck right?
Stil I think they should make him 0/4 or give him some ability.

@virtueVsVice
Couldn't be more wrong, the hatchling is a kraken (duh) and so you can put him down for free with quest for ula's temple, which is the only stylish way to plop down that creature, everyone knows style wins games not first turn 0/4's.
Style points for this card? nil, however I do quite like him anyway.
