just finished an edh game where I played this card many times: activate bosium strip, play High Tide (1), Twincast it (2), replay Twincast with the strip (3), replay High Tide (4). Ended up playing Turnabout a couple times, Mind's Desiring to play my deck and Brain Freezing everyone out... Pretty degenerate card. I can only imagine playing with more than one of them :O

I managed to make a Merfolk Combo deck much like the Elf Combo Deck, except that it used this + permanent untappers and fallowsages to play my deck out consistently by turn 5, then win with a) infinite merfolk tokens, b)decking the opponent, or c) brainfreeze.

Few cards are as lucky as this one, to become enshrined in the name of a tournament deck.
A longtime Legacy combo deck is called High Tide because it uses this, Reset, and draw spells like Blue Sun's Zenith to generate a ton of mana and cards during an opponent's third or fourth upkeep. It kills the same turn with Brain Freeze or another draw spell.
The deck was weakened when Mystical Tutor got banned, since it can't go find early High Tides as easily, but it still lands Top 16 in tournaments from time to time.

One of the coolest sleeper cards ever. Was totally ignored when FE came out.
