Cycling of any kind is always good, it just makes the card more flexible and make it more useful since the card is less likely to be a dead draw. Add on the fact that you get an extra effect when cycling Grixis Sojourners, and you can end up with some truly awesome plays, such as:
Opponent: I'll cast Dread Return for it's flashback cost, targetting my Kokusho, The Evening Star.
You: In response, I'll cycle Grixis Sojourners for {2}{B} and exile your Kokusho, The Evening Star to net a very handsome 4-for-0 off of a common!
(You opponent loses Dread Return + the 3 creatures he/she sacrificed to cast it, not to mention their Kokusho is now exiled, and the measly common you used to set this all in motion has replaced itself in your hand, at instant speed!
Granted, this is pretty much a best-case scenario, but cycling is pretty awesome, in particular when you get an extra effect as a r... (see all)

First of all, it's a 4/3 for 4.
This makes it better than Zombie Goliath.
Second of all, the cycling ability isn't exactly invaluable, which is why it's more aggressively-costed than the other sojourners.
Thirdly, The ability has a critical use against many decks nowadays. It's often that you come across decks that run some sort of graveyard recursion, and this is essentially card advantage against creatures with unearth.

A 4/3 for 4 is hardly ever a bad thing. Being three colored makes it a lot trickier; it's still solid in limited, I think. It's nice to have a creature attached to cremate, though, I must admit. I find myself craving the effect in a lot of EDH games.

Counter-intuitive and boring. If it had been "When you cycle Grixie Sojourners or it dies, you may return another target creature card from your graveyard to your hand," I'd be all over it. Worst of the cycle, sadly.

The only card you will want to exile with its ability is itself.

Usable in Living End? Breaking the symmetry perhaps.

Not exactly friends with Grixis recursion, I see.
