This is some intricate kind of creature removal for seven mana, keeping or even getting a fatty on your hand in order to do any damage is a bit unfortunate.
Then again this is from Rise of the Eldrazi, with quite a bunch of fatties and crazy mana accel.

In the prerelease, this won me every game i used it:D Awesome in limited , as you have all the or so eldrazis.

Why is this rated so low? 7 mana is not hard to get in Rise of the Eldrazi, especially if you're playing red. When you've got a Pathrazer of Ulamog in your hand that you don't have quite enough mana to play (as happened to me in several rounds), then it's quite useful. I wish I'd had one at the prerelease, it would have actually given me a chance at winning more of those rounds. 7 mana for 11 damage to multiple creatures (potentially belonging to multiple opponents)? Count me in!
It's certainly situational though. If you don't have any fatties, don't use it. But 7 CMC or higher isn't hard to come by in this set.

I was disappointed when I first got this but I stuck it in my dragon deck and have found it to be very powerful. I cast it to clear the way for my 6 mana dragon, reveal next turn's hellkite overlord.
I also find that this is one of the most potent pieces of removal in multiplayer. ( the only one that beats it is scourglass)

This card was insane in Sealed deck.

This card is really good in a way, it combos with a bunch of cards and see beyond to create a deck that has eldrazi, but never plays them. Rather you use eldrazi spawn for lots of mana, then keep a big creature in your hand and use its large power/toughness to slam opponents for lots of damage or other affects.

This works in Green/Red/Eldrazi BIG TIME. That 7 mana isn't hard to come by in that deck, you show your 8 mana fatty and bye bye his guys. Way underrated.

Revealing Emrakul just gave your opponent one more reason to concede.

Even if you're not showing a big one, a creature with just 4cc is just as mana efficient as Lavalanche. True it doesn't hit the player, but it's easier to cast.

This is amazing late game! Clear the opponents board with this and your finisher fattie, and then smash that mother with it next turn!
EDIT: For people talking about the affects of this outside the set, it does great late game. Here's the thing people, even if you have a 4cmc creature in hand you can wipe almost all your opponents creatures. The only drawback is that you have to wait def. later in the game. I like casual a lot and this ends up coming out pretty fast.
