I consider this card to be very good. Giving something +3/+3 and flying pretty much gives you the biggest flyer on the board. And if you've played magic, you know that a big flyer will win you the game. This is a game winning card!

+3/+3 and evasion, plus the ability to avoid death once? This card is quite decent. In fact, I don't think any of the Umbras are bad at all.

This umbra is actually completely amazing even for 5 mana and most people don't seem to understand that on here. It turns your sejiri merfolk into a one time unkillable baneslayer angel.. and if your playing bant colors you can stack emerged unscathed and vines of vastwood on top of that.
Totem umbras are very cool enchantments that I hope wizards will make more of, I'm already planning on putting together an umbra deck with some eldrazi splashed in.
Trivia: The word umbra means shadowy, so its like the shadow of an animal, aka its essence.

Expensive, but a game-winner. Sticking one on a level 5 Halimar Wavewatch and swinging for 9 gave me a warm glow today.

Although it looks slightly over-costed, this is the only Umbra that gives your big-fat aura creature any kind of evasion.

BEAUTIFUL in foil. And gives one-time indestructible. And gives evasion. And gives a pretty good P/T boost. Good card. This is probably the only card with "drake" in the name that I would ever use.

You guys cannot possibly have attended the pre-release... This card win games all by itself.
If you have a fattie on the field, stick this on to give it evasion, and effectively another life (in most situations).
Alternatively you can put it on something small in the beginning, putting on a 4 turn clock. There is not a lot of removal that deals with a P5+ unit in the format, and even fewer that will give your opponent a 2 for 1 situation.
I considder it a 1st-2nd pick in limited.

Guntz109Z : This thing won me 4 prerelease games. It is that good in limited

Aura's have never been popular outside of casual and limited environments, mainly for the reason that they generate negative card advantage (when your opponent destroy's your creature, you're down 2 cards). However, the Umbra's counteract this inefficiency by making your opponent destroy the creature twice. Overall, I'm happy with the cycle and plan to include several of them, including this, in my bant deck
