These guys look so cool and I really like them when they were first released... it's a shame they're not very good. I do think haste would have been fair on them - keep in mind, though, that we had Goblin Berserker in the previous block, and Wizards was much less cavalier with powercreep at the time.

I particularly like these little guys, sure it doesn't have haste but first strike is decent enough in casual.
