I like how a lot of the Fallen Empires flavour text is like a historical account of what happened. It tells a neat story, which sadly should have resulted in a stronger and more unique set. That being said, I love how a lot of the flavour texts are meant to be ridiculous and comical, like this one. This text is probably my favourite Orc flavour text from FE.

calm down, he's not so bad.
The first ability is almost nothing. The second one could perhaps be useful.
The goblins printed back in that day were just as good/bad.
Orcs were not brought back for Onslaught block or Llorwyn block, so they haven't been power creeped yet. If they throw an orc randomly into some future set, most of the comments on its page will probably be "wow this is the best orc ever," just because of what is accepted as the norm of creature strength these days.

By todays standards 2/2 for 3 is terrible. First strike can be very nice though, he might have been dominate in limited back then. The drawback is rarely relevant.
