I used to think the Brigand was the bird itself and it was kidnapping some unfortunate lad. Then I looked closer and thought "Say, birds can't really be pirates, can they?" Now it's also a human pirate, so there ya go. I also don't get why it can't block nonflyers. What, birds can't land?
I still like 'im, though. 3-power flyers are always nice, and he's pretty much guaranteed to take something of your opponent's when he shows up.

That's actually pretty cool. 3/2 seems right as well, given it's blue and a Mercadian Masks set card. I like the forced decision as well...and, being a M.M card, the drawback makes sense as well. I actually think this'd be fun in a control deck of sorts. I know birds can do that to a fair extent (Onslaught Block), so this seems quite right, flavor-wise as well.
4/5, I'd say. 'Cause I also like Birds. :D
