Its an extraordinary card late in the game, when you top decking ineffective lands that you don't want. I also like how you can bounce your own lands when needed. An excellent solution (mostly in EDH) when you don't need certain lands in play, but you really need cards in hand.

Actually it is the farmer, the hunter and the fisherman that feeds them. The merchant just abuses the system.
