Usually a great card, but the Demonic deck seems to want to hit its land drops way more often than not. Doesn't make it TERRIBLE in there, but it's not quite as neat.

Love this land. Great for budget Dredge or a black cycling deck that abuses Street Wraith.

I'm continually pleased when I see old cards that get the new card frame. It looks SO much better and having access to pretty replacements is always good.

The old borders were just plain hideous. The only reason select players complain about the new layout is because they have been playing Magic since alpha, and have nothing but trash looking cards from the early 90's, and so the overall art direction for Magic forever onward must suffer because of an old player's sad, selfish preference of nostalgia. Which makes no sense to me either... why have newer cards look old if you are still trying so hard to preserve the classic vintage status of the older ones? This seems counter-intuitive to me.
Or maybe you are right... Wizards should have just kept printing horrid looking cards and presented them to a newer generation with higher standards for card art and presentation. That would have improved sales tenfold, I'm sure of it.
Anyway, this is a good card. 4/5

I have no opinion on old versus new card frames, but the art looks like a turd. Did then, does now. It's almost as if to imply that 'cycling' is just a euphemism for taking a #2.
Heather Hudson's art is usually so vibrant and interesting, you kinda have to wonder what the crap is up with this piece.
