Gotta love steal effects in green. Hooray for color pie bleed. Too bad its got a cost the opponent can pay to keep it./ Still a fun card!

Here's a question with these indefinite effect steal cards- what happens if I make something an artifact until end of turn with Argent Mutation? Does it leave my control once it stops being an artifact?

@coyotemoon722 Haha true, that part of the wording seems redundant.
You have to wonder whether they didn't distinguish between "controller" and "owner" back then in The Dark (times of Magic.)
Probably they just wrote that line because of the ante cards back then - which in fact could change the ownership (permanently) if you played for ante - to make sure that the players who didn't distinguish those two words wouldn't carry an angry opponent's lotus or mox with them at home after delivering the finishing blow with this dude.

That's a pretty cool Blightsteel Colossus you've got there. Shame you're tapped out...

@MacBizzle
It's the same as with Aladdin. The ability would have to say "... or until it ceases to be an artifact" in order to return to its previous owner.
