I would've more warmly welcomed a cycle of enemy colored lands of the same type, in this new set.

I was hoping to rebuild one of those Enduring Ideal tournament combo decks from a while back, now that a lot of its card are quite a bit cheaper (Dovescape and the like) but when I saw that the mana base would cost 80% of the deck's price to go put together... nah.
Fetchlands and the like, it's just not cool having $15 lands be the tournament-level norm, especially when a deck needs a dozen of them.

I admit that there are cards right now that cost more than cardboard should (Baneslayer Angel, Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Primeval Titan), but that's because THEY'RE GOOD. If it's out of your price range, start budgeting, or work on a deck that can be built affordably and aggressively. It may sound hard, but it's not. I have several decks going together that haven't cost me more than 30 or so bucks to put together. Maybe they're not Standard legal, but then, I've also started branching out into other archtypes to find the one that fits my budget and likes. And like I said, BUDGET YOUR MONEY FOR CARDS.I'm currently saving 300 USD to buy a Time Vault for a Vintage deck. Yes, it's expensive as hell, but I'm doing very well at saving the money for it between costs of living and leisure.

Return of the highly costly lands.
These annoy me far more than Baneslayer.
But hey, if they reprint them enough, maybe I could ACTUALLY AFFORD THEM, HINT HINT WIZARDS.
Of course, I think Wizards would be better off just coming out with nonbasic lands that are COMMON and just as good so that PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY PLAY MAGIC. Utility cards BY DEFINITION SHOULD BE COMMON. I would rather not shell out millions of dollars just so I can have a foundation to build a deck that could ACTUALLY WIN.

Since when is 3 dollars expensive for a type two 'dual land'? For awhile, the three color uncommons lands from shards block cost the same amount. I remember even back in ravnica block when those lands cost 12 dollars a piece new, and not to mention the fact that painlands used to go for 6-12 dollars a piece! And they were arguably worse than these lands.
Games cost money!
There are uncommon alternatives like the refuge cycle!
Utility cards shouldn't only be uncommon or common, there's no precedence that would suggest that:
The mox cycle were rares, stifle is a rare, the original dual lands were rares, vindicate and maelstrom pulse are rares.
There should be utility cards at every rarity, just like good creatures, artifacts, etc.

I happen to agree, there's no good reason why WOTC can't reprint everything over and over so everyone can play their game on a level field. The resellers are getting rich, that's not what games are about.
