Possibly the best card ever printed. However, when I say "best" I don't mean "most effective." I mean "improves Magic as a game the most." The second best is Evolving Wilds. Why do I say this? Because dual lands are rare and expensive. Sure, if you have the money you can get four of one or even several dual lands for each of your multicolored decks and that would almost always be better than these cards, but when you're just playing casually or can't afford to buy expensive lands as singles because you're spending your budget on other key cards, these are great multicolor enablers. Since you can have up to eight of these in a deck, you can even play five colors smoothly if you're willing to sacrifice the speed of untapped lands. This keeps budget from limiting the colors you can play, which opens up a lot of the fun of Magic to players at any level.

I am incredibly surprised that they didn't use evolving wilds to replace this. I thought that was the entire reason that they made it in Rise. Even if Evolving wilds is more flavorful I like this better for nostalgia reason.

Aw man, I was hoping they'd print Evolving Wilds instead. I like the art better.

This card has become such a staple, it will be a peculiar day when they decide not to reprint or functionally reprint it.

Remember kids, although Evolving Wilds is functionally identical to this, if you run both (by that i mean 2 of each if you intend to run 4) your deck is less susceptible to cards like Haunting Echoes! (since Haunting Echoes exiles all cards from your graveyard except basic lands)

Wow, I just realized this didn't get an M12 reprint. Goodbye cheap manafixing for Standard! Unless Innistrad cooks up something good.

I suspect they didn't use Evolving Wilds to replace this in Magic 2011 because for a decent amount of time, Evolving Wilds will remain in standard. Terramorphic Expanse was going to rotate out when 2010 left. Printing this in 2011 allows both cards to exist side by side increasing the viability of mana fixing for budget decks. This card is vitally important for good budget decks to have access to multiple colours.

Take two steps north into the unsettled future, south into the unquiet past, east into the present day, or west into the great unknown.

Whats Not to love about the Time Spiral Common land Terramorghic Expanse? I'll tell you. Nothing! However The Flavor text should always be a part of Terramorghic Expanse. Thats why if I can help it I only use the Time Spiral print of this land.

Vinferra is right that is exactly why they didn't reprint evolving wilds
