Very relevant for Boros and other small-creature-heavy decks. +2/+0 is not to be underestimated if you have as few as three creatures. The +0/+2 defense buff is very handy for defending as well.

Not strictly better than Castle.

Very similar to Sword of the Paruns, which I think if a very underrated card, at least in the meta-game around here. If you stack these two, you will get +4/+0 on the offense, then use three mana to untap a creature, then you have at least one defender with +0/+4 to block with.

@Huffytreefolkman Bant was already war-driven before red mana. It's factions wage "honorable" war on each other. I like to think that after the conflux, Bant's method of warfare became less honorable and more glorious, especially since all the regions of Bant united themselves to drive back external invaders.
As for the card, it give you power when you attack, and toughness when you don't, but it doesn't help against burn if your opponents can play them on your turn. This with double strikers is pretty amazing.

Pretty damn powerful, leaves older cards like Castle in the dust.

One of my very favorite cards. I mean, come on. It's called Glory of Warfare. How could that be construed as anything other than awesome. R/W has so many stunning cards, this only one of them.
