Used him at the pre-release. In limited, this dude gets out of hand really fast. In many cases, he got a bit bigger than some of the Eldrazi I was playing. Sacrificing all of those little Eldrazi spawns with this guy in play makes ramping for mana a threat with some teeth.

A 1/1 that gets stronger every time someone sacrifices a creature in a block where black is all about sacrificing creatures? And then Eldrazi? And then potential for things like Grave Pact?
And it costs just B to play?
This card is, in the very least, a 1-drop. A 1-drop that can potentially own the hell out of an Eldrazi.

It's a beautiful thing when opponents waste removal on one mana drops. Mortician and Scute Mob are amazing for that. Low risk high reward cards.

The flavor text is sweet poetry.
Play with a playset of Awakening Zone and things might get nasty

A perfect addition to my sacrifice deck. Especially awesome with sadistic glee, when I'm sacrificing 7-8 creatures in one turn it gets huge. Then it itself becomes a good target to sacrifice with carrion for all the tokens to then sacrifice to the fallen angel.

Awesome creature. I would not be surprised if someone thinks of a combo to give this Ravager-level brokenness.

Bloodthrone Vampire is my favorite. But it has a lot of synergies:
the aforementioned Devour (Tar Fiend being the only mono-black devourer)
the aforementioned Fleshbag Marauder
Gatekeeper of Malakir
Any Lord of the Pit type effect, like Xathrid Demon or Archdemon of Unx
Consuming Vapors
Any Eldrazi (Ulamog's Crusher just for one example)
Any card that creates Eldrazi Spawn to sac for mana (Corpsehatch for one example)
And that's just in mono-black and in standard.

Devour deck, no doubt.
