Terrific mana acceleration. Great for any deck. It pays for itself if it doesn't get destroyed within 1 turn.

The land would add a colorless mana, then fertile ground would add a mana of any color.

How would this card be effected if ritual of subdual is in play?

Between Birds of Paradise and Darksteel Ingot, I just don't ever end up putting these in my 5 color decks.
And thanks to Utopia Sprawl, I don't play this in my two color decks either.
Still it is a solid card that I have good memories of.
A powerful card in super draw enchantress decks that need colors to cast demonic tutor or fireball.

God this card is too great, I was playing commander and a gay played this. I already had a Sydri, Galvanic Genius in play along with Mycosynth Lattice. I had 7 lands and a Thran Dynamo, my other friend was doing Jhoira, enter the infinite,Omniscience combo, I blew up all his lands and then some then played an Oblivion Ringon Fertile Grounds. Needless to say I was a bad person and kicked out the match.

How is this rated higher than Utopia Sprawl? With Utopia Sprawl, you get three mana on turn 2. With this, you get no mana on turn 2. Is the flexibility of choosing a color every time you tap it really worth it? I run this purely out of necessity, but would rather run 8x utopia sprawl.
