I've been wanting to kick a Rite of Replication on one of these to fuel a kicked Sadistic Sacrament and a Mind Sludge. There are obviously more powerful things to use it for (Drain Life, among others), but the capacity for destroying my opponent's hand and library that come with this greatly appeals to me.

Equilibrium Is not infinite mana, unless I'm bad with the rules.
To my understanding, when you cast Priest, the ability from Equilibrium goes on the stack and while that ability is on the stack, Priest is NOT on the battlefield. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You mean Equilibrium for infinite mana. Oh and don't forget the Jet Medallion to make sure this guy costs less.

Memnite is sometimes more useful as a free drop, since it's always free. Priest of Gix has 1 more power and quite a lot of combo potential, and they're both very good cards.

Turn one; Dark Ritual this guy Vampire Nighthawk
Turn two:Bad Moon
I have a deck that pulls this off on a regular basis, with the Nighthawk sometimes replaced by Hypnotic Specter or Dusk Urchins.

Better than Dark Ritual when used with Aluren.

In the Phyrexia deck alone you can play two of these guys and the Phyrexian Negator on turn one with a miracle hand. Safe to say that the Coalition really hates it when that happens.

at rishard_hawk, he is free, but only if you have the mana to cast him in the first place, acts as great fodder for Demon of Death's Gate
