If it had an ability or was in any other color, this would be good. But green gets 3/3s for 3 mana, so this don't cut it.

This is meant to provide a little early-to-mid game beef in a deck that includes Green but is not predominantly Green. In such a context, this card can be decent.
Strangely, I find that if I start sliding Green into a deck to provide 'Green support', I tend to convert the deck into a Green deck that is supported by the other color(s). Green's mana ramp is pretty powerful, but it usually calls for {G} production at the earliest opportunity, rather than secondarily.

I'd say it's about a 2 star card, since it's splashable and only slightly under Green's curve, and on par with Black's.

3/3 for 3 is not tourney worthy in any color.
