His first ability is pretty wicked, but the final ability isn't the only one that can win the game.
Fourth turn Koth swing for 4.
Fifth turn choose his second ability for 8-10 mana usually, cast two Hell's Thunders and two Hellspark Elementals. Swing for 14.
This has happened a couple times in my elemental-themed deck, also works nicely with Elemental Appeal.

I really like the art for koth and similar tribes from scars, looks awesome, I want to make a mono red deck, this and chandra ablaze Ive never really been tempted into making a monored deck until ablase came out, this makes me want to more

His final ability works very well with Flameblast Dragon and just about any card that can use mountains to give themselves a boost.
