Combo with Attrition for Terror on a stick! Add Gravepact for extra spice.
Or, you know, any of the other infinitely more broken combos out there... Damn, this card is good!

Awesome zombie card. It really fits the theme of zombies (keeps coming back... forever..). I want one for my horde deck because he fits the theme so well.

Imagine four of these out on the field at once - you can run but you can't hide and these guys certainly won't be going away any time soon
5/5 for being such a terrifying one drop that sums up the essence of why many of us love mono-black

No one has noted the infinite mana and synergy with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Phyrexian Altar, sac gravecrawler to the altar and he comes right back from the undying trigger and you added one of any color to your mana pool then you sac him again and use the next mana to recast him. Once you have a ton of mana just throw in Exsanguinate for good measure.

I didn't see Carrion Feeder mentioned, which covers this guy's requirment and becomes essentially "{B}: +1/+1 counter on Carrion Feeder"
Consider his synergy with cards that make you and your opponent both discard, such as Delirium Skeins. Say, T1 Carrion Feeder, T2 Dark ritual, Blood Scrivener, Duress , T3 Delirium; dropping him in the grave and holding Ghoulcaller's Chant.
Now you essentially lose nothing. Say next turn cast the chant, cast gravecrawler from the grave, cycle a gempalm polluter for 3-4 to the face + the 5ish from attacking so far.
