This guy + Phyrexian Broodlings + Lumberknot + Reaper from the Abyss. The star combo of my Saproling sacrifice deck (If I'm lucky, I'll have a Golgari Germination or two, as well.)

@newbieson: Yes to both. That's what makes this so damn good.

Casting this guy essentially turns each Nantuko Husk and Bloodthrone Vampire into super-shades.

If this were a zombie, I would die of happiness.

Good to run with big green creatures to stop unwanted Tribute to Hunger and Geth's Verdict killing off Hexproof cards.

It just won't die! The new favorite of sacrificial strategies everywhere. Play with Lifeline and/or Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, just to prove you can bring the skeleton back for free.

Here's my ridiculous 4 card combo using this card:
Have Reassembling Skeleton, Ashnod's Altar, Initiates of the Ebon Hand and Blood Artist on the battlefield.
Sacrifice the Reassembling Skeleton to Ashnod's Altar, turn the colorless to black with the Initiates of the Ebon Hand, and activate the Reassembling Skeleton to return it to the battlefield. You can do this "an arbitrarily large number" of times and it will trigger the Blood Artist each time, resulting in a game win.
