I agree with BloodJunkie - this card is well priced with amazing art and an interesting effect. I'd love to see it reprinted in a modern card-frame.

She can protect herself and the army, while her black ability could balance or win you the game. She's fragile, but she's also in blue.

Pretty good for control decks, but doesn't have a large enough impact on the board situation, and it takes a while before you really get something for your mana.. However, it allows you to counter spells targeting your creatures, and it allows you to counter spells targeting ~enemy~ creatures! :) You can even destroy auras by having creatures gain protection from the aura's color.. Such strange things are the reason why most cards only "protect" your own creatures, but this is a very interesting exception! :) This is the best combination of colors for creatures with tapping effects, because of Merieke Ri Berit, Royal Assassin, Mangara Of Corondor and blue tapping / untapping effects.. And Thousand-Year Elixir allows this creature to protect itself as soon as it enters play, you just have to have two mana sources for white mana..

This is like the only Hannibal King piece that looks really good on a Magic card, I think.

Seems like a strong mage, but it is very color intensive. With 2 whites open can make anything dodge removal, and can tap out at end of opponents turn to drain health. Of course tapping out leaves you open to an instant speed removal.
