@Superllama12: X is 0 in all zones except the stack. Rage Extractor looks at the stack. So you would indeed deal X+1 damage.

Well, any deck can destroy a squad of squadron hawks, I guess. Or at least try to what with their counter spells and all. I like this card any ways, for limited. Gives you a chance against decks with great air forces.

This is going to be a good sideboard card in limited, destroying the flying infectors, glint hawks (but not the idol) and all sorts of drakes and stuff i guess, and i am willing to bet it will be used extensively against CawBlade in any deck, as the phyrexian mana allows amazing flexibility.

I don't quite get where this card should be going. Maybe in some sideboard of mono-colored deck to have an answer against certain protection creatures. Though that is rather narrow, and there are probably better solutions. So... I stick to hurricane (or mass/spot removal in black, white and red, or something else in blue).

This card is actually a great way to deal with a lot of cards out there right now.
First: deals with all those squad hawks and birds of paradise you may find in Cawblade.
Second: There is a great deal of creatures out that fly or are being used with flying outside of Cawblade, such as nighthawk, vault skirge, thopters, almost any angel, and this deals with that quite effectively.
Third: there is a decent amount of infect creatures that fly and are being used, which makes them prime targets for this card
Fourth: If you run a deck made up of creatures that don't have flying and won't gain it (you may have done something wrong in that plan) this is a great way to deal with those pesky creatures always avoiding your defenses.
All in all I wish I had more, want a playset to use against my buddy for my defender mana deck.
