In the very old days of magic, this did actually have a use. Before all the expansion sets and power creep, a lot of folks did actually use walls in their decks. They were cheap and useful in a lot of different decks. So yeah, if this were still 1994 or whatever, I'd give Tunnel a three star rating. In 2012? It barely rates one star.

Gabriel, you got your wish. Clear a Path. Shame it's a sorcery though, but still...

Good response to Animate Wall! Another good response, to either of these: laughing.

Actually still printable today, if rephrased as "Destroy target creature with Defender."
Red was aching for an answer to things like Wall of Reverence.

Like I've written elswhere there is a fundamental image difference between walls and non-wall defenders.
Walls are defenders because they are immobile constructs or plants that need magic to move, whereass non-wall defenders are homeguard instructed not to attack. Hence Glint Hawk Idol amongst others should be errated as 'count as a wall', because mentally you can imagine Dwarven Demolition Team to blow it up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it could be combined with Runed Stalactite to read "{2}{R}, Destroy target creature." Still, it seems like there are better options today.
