As Sooku said, they'd never reprint this flavor text. Just goes to show how pathetic this politically correct crap is.
The card is not so pathetic, at least. It's not an epic ability, but it can hold off an attack for a turn, and that's not half bad.

first thing i noticed was the flavour text as well, unfortunately
to be fair, they likely wouldn't put flavour text from either the bible or qu'ran on any new card, really

The Qur'an is my book; Magic constantly excerpts off the Christian Bible anyway. If you have a problem, then ignore it, because I like it.
By the way, this card is terrible, for 1WW instead you can have Hold the Line.

@Sooku: And that's precisely what makes it awesome!

There's no way this flavor text would ever be printed today.

Found a booster set in Fred's that had extra cards inside as a "Bonus" This card was one of the ones listed, the 4E version but it is in Spanish! Would love to put it in a deck just to see my opponent's reaction!

The flavor text wouldn't cause an uproar. The whole card taken as an object would.
I mean, here we have Piety. So this man must be a pious man. Yet instead of seeing him praying or worshipping in some manner, we see him sitting on the toilet and reading the newspaper. If I was a Muslim I would be offended.
