I agree with Joseph. The Planewalker's guide made Gryffs seem like a huge deal. The cards...don't.

This is no Mulldrifter, that's for sure. But in Limited, this card is going to be one of the premier commons. So much value! Sweet art, too.

The flicker synergy is why it costs so much. It has very useful combo potential in this set:cloudshift, Restoration Angel, Nephalia Smuggler,Ghostly Flicker, Deadeye Navigator . If it costed any less it would be downright abusable, plus the 3 attack and evasiveness help to justify it.

Played very well at the prerelease. Though, most evasives do.

Very solid in limited, plus I love the art. Too bad there aren't more Gryffs in this set.

Honestly, I think Muldrifter was a little over-powered. I mean, it's really really good. And common! This doesn't compare favorably, but I'm still happy to have the three power in the air that I can flicker for profit.

Mulldrifter is better. Gryffs look awesome though.

This could would have been fine if it drew 2 cards... + 1 power for giving up evoke is a decent trade, although still in favour of evoke. Giving up a card as well as Evoke is just bad. Mulldrifter was a fun common card that defined formats but wasn't broken or overpowered - I wish they would have printed this card closer to its power level.
