So good in Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker EDH. In a four player game, you get to draw 8 cards every round with Mindless Automaton. I just came out of a game that I won with 40 cards and a Reliquary Tower in play.

Powerful!

Sure, it's a bit smaller than its green counterpart, but it works when any creature dies. So, you're going to kill all those enemy creatures anyway - may as well get some cards for it.

I'm not sure how legal this is but... It's fun.

Pestilence Demon and this guy were out against my friend's mono green beatdown deck with Liege Of The Tangle and some other weenie elves. Pay 8, everyone takes 8 damage, everything dues, I drew 8 cards consisting of Dark Ritual, some lands, Demonlord Of Ashmouth, Demonic Taskmaster and Tormentors Trident. SWING. Card advantage after a board wipe is always welcome

I put this in my Rakdos, Lord of Riots EDH deck.

A combo I found completely by accident was This, plus Psychosis Crawler, then casting into a board wiping creature. (Reiver Demon was my choice.)

You board wipe, draw 10+ cards in multiplayer, deal 10+ damage to all opponents, Rakdos makes all the cratures you are going to draw into dirt cheap.

It was quite satisfying to drop a Darksteel Colossus, Artisan of Kozilek, for free and a Sheoldred for BlackBlack.

Five stars. This is one of the best card-drawing engines in black, and quite possibly one of the best in any color.
