With 1 godless shrine and a swamp + plains, you can get the full effect for 3 mana.

Kind of... underwhelming for EDH, isn't it?
Edit: I didn't know this card was in the Ghave deck. I can see how it would be useful there, but I was commenting on its inclusion in the Kaalia of the Vast deck, where it's not very useful.
