Living Death came first, Living end is similar to this, and was a tribute to this classic and beloved card

This card is CRAZY good in Devour for Power. First you cast The Mimeoplasm and exile the two most dangerous creatures in your opponents' graveyards, minimizing the benefit it will grant to anyone but you. Then, once The Mimeoplasm eats a faceful of removal (which shouldn't be long because it's a very popular target), you cast this, bring all your fatties back, and have The Mimeoplasm copy whatever you killed.
So smooth.

This card is so fun late game in EDH, when nobody really knows what's in the graveyard anymore. Four players, eleven creatures each with so many effects resolving everywhere.

@ Taegan15
Do you actually mean, "Actually, very similar"?
Because they are sans the suspend effect.
If someone wouldn't called Living End similar to Living Death, then Doom Blade is in no way related to Go for the Throat, or Diabolic Tutor has no relation to Demonic Tutor

Step 1: cast this
Step 2: recite Black Lantern Oath
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: You were expecting profit? Zombies take over the world! You Lose! (But they die too, and Black will do anything to kill its opponent, even lose the game!!11 xD xD XD)
jk about the 'Lose the Game' bit. That was a zombie joke. Really though, it's a great card, and you should win if it resolves and you set it up right.
