I just reread this thing for the hundredth time since Alara block and finally got it:

For some reason, the art tricked me into thinking it was a wall. it is NOT. 3-mana for 4-power. In blue. very, very nice.

If you run it in a sacrifice deck (usually blue/black) it works wonders because you sacrifice stuff anyways.
