Powerful artifact. I pulled a foil version from an Alara Reborn booster a couple months ago. The rare was my second copy of Sen Triplets.

I don't get why they chose this card for new art, the old art still looked up to date, and nothing about this artworks says "Ajani" Why not re-art one of the Ajani cards, or maybe re-art the ultimatums in each deck?

The duel deck had it right, this thing combos pretty well with Ageless Entity. A 6/6 trample lifelink that doubles in power and fortitude every time it swings, though for all the times I've played that combo, I've never had to swing with it more than twice. It's a pretty powerful card.

I have mixed feelings on equipments still. That said, this guy is an equipment of one of the most powerful auras ever printed; Armadillo Cloak; and that's respectable.

Equips like this may turn me around.

I like how life gain is almost always underwhelming...

Except when it's lifeLINK. (Warhammer, Baneslayer, Nighthawk, Sledge, etc)

I'm not entirely sold on this either, although it is pretty good for an equip.

You gotta pay for it twice - first to put it onto battlefield, then to attach to a creature. So the turn it comes out it may do absolutely nothing for you. Or you hold on to it until you have the 6 mana to make it do something the turn it comes out, but then it's just sitting there in your hand in the meantime... again, doing nothing.

White, Green, and Red all have anti-artifact spells. There goes 6 mana investment down the drain vs a majority of colors. I think the best way to counter "disenchant" effects is to either 1) not take any artifacts/enchantments at all, or 2) take so many artifacts and enchantments that they cannot possibly destroy them all. But spells like Shatterstorm or Fracturing Gust make that option moot.

Sure, you could use some sort of Counterspell to prevent your Artifact from being destroyed, but you can do exactly that to protect an Aur... (see all)
