Shatterspree version 2.0:
-More splashable
-Gets through shroud
-Hits all for 5
-Somewhat less flexible
-Less trippy art
Overall, I approve. Very nice, good use of overload.

The overload cost isn't the only cool thing about this. It's a slowed down Smelt or a slightly more expensive/better Shatterstorm, both cards that don't see that much play on their own. But on the same card, this will probably see some sideboard play maybe in Modern and Standard, maybe even Legacy or Vintage due to the prominence of artifacts.

Destroy everything you don't control.

Between this and Shattering Spree, the Izzet seem to be complete experts at blowing up lots of artifacts. Speaking of which, this would be a fair replacement for it in a lot of decks.

I see you were playing artifacts? Pew!

That goblin makes me think of the trollface meme immediately. This is costed well even if Shattering Spree is better in a vacuum. this synergizes much better with cost reductions like on Goblin Electromancer and Arcane Melee.

Artifact destruction is always a sideboard. If you have any reason to stick it in your deck, you have A LOT of use for it... making this card all kinds of good.

I'm guessing that Mycosynth Latice will see alot more play in EDH due to this card. I think vandalblast is excellent in it's own right though.

Now I have to sideboard counter spells into my standard artifact deck!
This and Stony Silence are the worst enemies of a standard format artifact deck right now.

A one-sided Creeping Corrosion?? Seems like an incredible value for EDH!
