lol...wow. After reading the other 4...I wasn't expecting the comment thread to look like this :P xD
I'd say this is the best, not because of his Shellhead artwork, but because this color combination has no access to Green mana dorkiness, and is less likely than Esper to stoop to Artifact dorkiness.
(Remember- if you're thinking artifact dorkiness in the first place, there are loads better artifacts to consider. like Blightsteel Colossus. who happens to be creature type-Golem. yeah. 'Strictly better' doesn't even BEGIN to cover it, does it? :P o.O )
so, Grixis colors actually need this kind of ability more than the others do. even though you've already got all the Rituals between two colors, and there is probably some odd Blue mana ramper that's weaker than Mox Sapphire (so people won't complain when you play it), yet strong enough to be worth it (such a card is probably one of a kind).
All that said....everyone saying Composite Golem is way off track. We're ... (see all)
