Fairly costed. Enchantment decks could get some use out of her, and just by herself she's a nice bit of chump, which fits her flavor.

People that complain about fair cards irk me. It all has to be broken to you people, otherwise you just turn your nose up at it. This is why we can't have nice things.

It's also a common. What more do you want?

Gonna be hard to drop consistently on t2 in ltd, but can be pretty swingy at a decently-early time in the game.

Over-all this is a great card in my opinion, it curves good a 2/2 with lifelink in a white deck always tells me that this person is going to be a hassle to kill off fast. I just wish this card was more splashable.

Every so often I'll look at the comments for a nice card like this, and I'll see comments comparing them to cards of higher rarity like White Knight or Knight of Meadowgrain, which is silly because this is a common. Of course the less common card is better! That's like saying Baneslayer Angel is better than Angel of Mercy. It is like that by design.

As for this card itself, it is perfectly fine as a common in a core set. One of the functions of these simplified sets is to allow a new player to get interested in a game, and with two relevant creature types and a worthwhile ability, this is a nice card for a beginning player. When you have an ability like Lifelink, a player will think of ways to get the most out of it. What if I slap a Righteousness on this and remove an attacker, and gain 9 life? If I can get it through unblocked every turn, it's a 4-point life swing. Hey lo... (see all)

One of the main players in a casual white weenie/ angel deck I have, just for fun :-)

I enjoy this card. It's one of a group of cards that just straight up look nice. The art is well done and flows well with the color, the flavor text and reminder text are similar in length, the P/T are equal to the casting cost, and it's a double color cost spell.

It's also very simple and an example of how lifelink is costed. White gets 2/2 creatures with a keyword for 2. It's cheap even if color intensive, and helps keep the pace as well as encourage tactical thinking.

Not, of course, an excellent card, but it is a very nice one. Normally this would be around a 3.5/5 gameplaywise (Good but not able to notably effect the game on its own) but I give it a 4 for aesthetic reasons.

EDIT: And now we have Devotion! It's a shame he's rotating out, I love the little furball.

It might not be the most exciting card in the world, but to me it's a good solid 2-drop for my life gain deck. It does the job I need it to nicely, and is my preferred chump blocker for that deck.

This has also seen some play in various of my Pauper decks, especially my mono-white Pauper blitz. There it rocks.
