I know Phyrexian Obliterator has been already mencioned, I just wanted to point out that deathtouch + trample means you can assign only 1 damage to each blocker (enough to destroy them) and the rest to deffending player. This + Prey Upon would combine fantasticly with my Obliterators (prey upon becoming G: target player sacrifices permanents equal to the strongest power amongst the creatures he controls) ... if only I knew how to enter them in a BBBB-cost-based deck. We need another BG dual, come on!

The effect is nifty, but I'm really torn on this card in limited. Feels like it's going to be a double edged Tribute to Hunger most of the time. You're only ever going to get their worst creature, and you might very well lose your own. If they have doomed travellers or anything that wants to die, it's just bad. It would be cool though if you had tokens vs big beaters, or black cats. Won't be so bad if your oppenent is low and you cast it on a Festerhide Boar.

wizards said, "man, rancor is awesome, but i think it's STILL under-used"

after some looks of 'are you joking...?' the all said "we agree!!"

so they proceeded to match up deathtouch, trample, and just for giggles, added in lure in a combo and said "one mana for each! one mana all around!!"

give it to gravecrawler and watch armies crumble turn after turn. love it.

..hmm, might use this on Stuffy Doll in an exalted deck... damages opponent.. kills his creature whenever it attacks alone.
