This is a nice peak into the dark side of white. Swift and vengeful death.

This is merely Limited removal for White which is not very exciting. However, since I recently made an Archer tribal deck, I'm fairly excited to acquire a playset of these.

Hmmm, it's true that this isn't the best spot removal white has out there, but in some cases this can be better than the enchantment based removal spells (like Oblivion Ring and Pacifism).
But the fact that it sends creatures to the graveyard directly is pretty solid.
It can't kill utility creatures, as has already been mentioned.

I'd say it isn't that bad.

@Shima (or ThisisSakon, for those of you that aren't in the know) - It's probably because it's out of color for white to completely drop a creature like this. White is more known for specialised removal (certain types), direct removal with a drawback (StP, etc), or putting threats where the opponent can't really get them back (O-Ring, etc)...this sort of direct removal is more Black than White.

@Thisissakon
Because the condition on Avenging Arrow is much more easily met. This one requires nothing of you, while Fatal Blow requires something to deal damage to the opponent's creature first (most likely a source you control). This one is more broadly applicable; you can use Avenging Arrow without any creatures out, so there's less investment.

I used to be an adventurer like you, till I dealt damage this turn.
That said, this card can kill creatures like Grim Lavamancer as well.

Really ought to have cost W. I imagine a reprint five years from now in Return to Scars of Lorwyn, except as 1W because they realize it should probably cost less.
