I don't like how instant speed creature removal counters this.

uh.... Painter's Servant and this actually makes it into a very splash-able counterspell.

good splashable counterspell. If you want a little control in an all color deck, this could certainly do it for ya.

Works great in most Sliver decks since Sliver Queen, Sliver Overlord and Sliver Legion are all 5 color.

Conditionally better than counterspell since it has one less U in the cost. That comes in handy if you're running 3-5 colors. Wonder if this got sideboarded back in the day.
Stupid spellchecker! Sideboarded is so a word, well to me anyways...

"The flavor is both non-existent and hilarious." --Opined_Fluke
Non-existent? On the risk of missing your point if that's what you meant,
but this card has the most intrusive flavor-explaining flavor text I've seen so far.
And colorless Karn getting shown most prominently behind Sisay makes this work even better.
However, the idea gets kind of ridiculous when you counter a WUBRG like Progenitus with it:
"Calm down everyone; it's nothing we haven't seen before." —Sisay
"LIKE HELL WE HAVE!" —Gerrard, Tarngarth and Karn
"...I'll get my toy." —Squee
On a sidenote, this is the very idea used to justify the functionality of Fear's descendant, autocard multi... (see all)

Good choice for a prismatic deck. Could be a sideboard card for a 2 or 3 color deck.
