Hmm, if it had a good upside to it then I would think of things to combo with it but a 3/3 for 4 isn't really worth thinking about for trying to fix it. Hell, if you want some type of good creature for 4 in white just use calciderm, you don't need to have other cards to make that creature good.

Combos with Zedruu, sorta-ish. Yah, I got nothing.

Because 3/3 creatures for 4 are just too powerful... and this is a rare!

*facepalm*
Back when I got into Magic again a bit over a year ago, I perused Gatherer to check out what people said about the old sets from my "first era".
I was pretty shocked how horribad most of Ice age had become. Especially the rares.
And this dude... Is the epitome.
Would have been really usable at {1}{W}, but like this, it's a Hill Giant with a downside at RARE.
Just imagine getting an Ice Age booster today and drawing THIS...

Flavorful. Efficiently costed p/t for its time in white. Still absolutely horrible.

This is almost as bad as Ignoble Soldier.

A way to use him is to attack with him first and hope your opponent will spend his mana on it so that you can safely cast your spells, but a smart opponent wouldn't do that if he doesn't have any other way of taking care of your spells.
