I've been given to believe there are all kinds of tricks you can pull with these that make them stupid good. I don't know how to do those so I just play them as really slow mana fixing. They cost 0 mana so they're still ok for that...but after the Shards lands, you must admit- these have gone down some in impressiveness.

If nothing else, the bounce lands are good with landfall.

(Though fetchlands are better for that, most of the time.)
