Wouldn't be nice to think that the typo was intentional? That someone other than Nicol Bolas was involved in it? Perhaps someone in the art? Someone who is so arrogant (powerful) he would NEVER allow them to call him "pathetic"?

@TheWrathOfShane: Those of use playing around in the Ravnica block when this was first printed thought this was crap, and still think this is crap now. Yes it's flashy but even with mana ramp you're unlikely to do much more than a Mind Rot couldn't have done - that is to say, even if you ramp in to casting this by turn 4 or 5, you're still probably only going to make them discard 2-4 cards. For the cost and speed of this card that's still not worth it.
It can be very valuable in formats like EDH against strategies like heavy card draw. But that's narrow, and the color of card draw is also the color of counterspells.

Honestly, the typo is a good thing on this card. It actually is fun to show to friends. Otherwise it would be just a crap rare I would put away and never look at again.

Cool Praetor's Counsel, brah.
Be a shame if you had to dump all 30 cards in your hand straight back to the 'yard...
Seriously tho, fellas, run this in EDH. Don't feel bad!

I don't think I've seen a typo on a card since Balduvian Shaman. This is crazy.

Do you know what happens to the proofreader who makes Nicol Bolas look foolish?
He gets fierd.

Oh hey, looks like they errata'd the flavor text in Oracle to remove Bolas's peculiar speech impediment.

Begs to be played immediately after a miracled Devastation Tide. Assuming of course, you've gotten to turn 9 without missing a land drop.

Nicol Bolas threw a crushing taunt at Jace, seeing the plans of the mind-mage fall apart amused him to no end and he revelled in the glory.
Then he realised that Beleren had, in fact, messed with his mind so much that he couldn't even speak or spell correctly.
