Where to begin? Good Lord, this guy is awesome. The Cheap Regen makes him absolutely terrifying! The best way to use him is in a Mill Deck; hit your opponent with something awful like a Mind Funeral (or 2 or 3) and watch him become the dread destroyer of worls.

@Blindthrall: You forget Tarmogoyf, but the card is still a very good creature. I've always liked the Lhurgoyf creature type.

Best goyf? Yes, because it trumps the original.

Totally unnecessary mockery of the original Lhurgoyf. For same casting cost far superior to it's Green cousin. Uncreative design.

fricken fantastic in a white/black deck playing him just after a wraith of god.

Good ol' Morty, the art has always intrigued me. My favorite Goyf.

Relic of Progenitus. Lhurgoyf survives where this doesn't. Other than that, fantastic card, 4.5/5

OH MY GOD; that border makes him so so cool
I love buying Odyssey and Torment era black cards where the art is also almost all black; it feels *SO* black. See nantuko shade and devouring strossus

This guy + Exoskeletal Armor + Bestowed Nighthowler + Equipped Bonehoard.
That's power and toughness equal to four times the number of all creatures in all graveyards. Give it trample (probably through Rancor) and have fun.
