While not as effective at milling (since it lets your foe chose to keep the card they want), there's nothing preventing it from being used on yourself to grab the best of the top 3 cards at the price of losing the other two. Also, it removes from the game, so it gets around graveyard tricks.

It's an interesting idea. I'm not sure that using it on yourself is worth it most of the time since you lose the other two cards irretrievably, and it is possible they could all be critical cards. And forcing your opponent to lose two cards may not be worth giving him the potential game-changer from the top 3 two turns earlier than he'd have it otherwise.

@Technicium Well spoken. I think you hit the nail on the head. On the other hand, I want to like this card for some reason. Ashnod's Cylix and Foresight could really see their day in the sun (and a significant increase in value) if we get more cards like Misthollow Griffin.
More cards like Misthollow and this reads 3Tap: Brainstorm and possibly keep an extra card (not too shabby).
