Really weird that they didn't at least change the flavor text to reflect that, you know, this isn't Mirrodin anymore.

I've never liked this card, despite the fact that it could make Worldfire cost 0.
I dunno if it's the same situation for anyone else, but every time I play this, I either reveal a land/creature, or someone kills it before it can do anything. OR, I get a spell with CMC .

With the announcement of Melek, Izzet Paragon in Gatecrash, this guy just got a whole lot more playable, especially in this reprint association with the Izzet.

don't play it with many creatures and no spells that cost X and your chances are suddenly so much higher ;)

I don't know how practical it is, really, but if you don't find the idea of a free Searing Wind to the opponent's face at least somewhat appealing you probably don't play red.

I play this in a casual deck with Rite of Replication, Soothsaying, Mana Severance, and a bunch of large CMC instants and sorceries I wouldn't play normally.
