@CwSf
Not all bugs are 2/4 reachers. see Giant C ockroach (yeah, there's no way that phrase is getting through the word filter unmarred.)
In early large sets, you see a good deal of reprints for the most basic, representative cards of a color. For example, in black, Fetid Horror is a reprint (down to type) of Ice Age's Hoar Shade, which is a slight update to Frozen Shade. Meanwhile in white, Femeref Healer is one of many cards reprinting Samite Healer.

Strictly less legs than Giant Spider.

This guy clearly loves to enjoy a good Feast of the Unicorn. So do I because that means I get to play a Mtenda 6/4.

Carbon copy of Giant Spider. All giant bugs are 2/4 reachers for 3G? But Giant Dustwasp isn't. I don't get it, but I do like this creature.

This is actually better than Giant Spider. You can't regenerate Giant Spider with Swarmyard. And, in case you didn't notice, the mantis is about to eat a pegasus.

I don't think he is about to eat them, he looks like he is engrossed in the world of miniature equine Afficianado.

Could actually have had Flying, if we were to go by a realistic interpretation of a mantis' abilities.
