@EpicBroccoli: Yes, since at the time some rule changes had been made regarding mana sources. IIRC Mirage block was right when the "interrupt" term stopped being used. This was when the stack, as we know it now, was being developed as a game concept, and mana sources at that point were not on the stack to be countered as the other "interrupts" might have been (e.g. Counterspell. Rather it would be whatever would be played with that mana. This hasn't changed much since then and is more or less understood in the game today, and newer printings tend to omit these phrases.
This was great in its day, and I relied on these guys a lot. Today, still not a bad bet for casual green decks splashing something else. Could do a lot worse with a two-drop slot. Couldn't go wrong in Mirage block constructed either.

Good mana fixing for the cheap inclined, otherwise just run Birds or Cobras. Still, solid 3.5/5
