Not bad as a base creature for certain auras to be put on. Imposing Visage or anything that gives trample, and a power/toughness boost.
Or, for an aura-free route, Bramblewood Paragon and anything that would give the tiger +1/+1 counters (eg:graft).

For the same cost, I prefer Krosan Vorine. For 1 less toughness, it becomes a sniper that can take out annoying Birds and Heirarchs, plus it gets beast synergy.
