Green direct damage? Weird. Interesting that it says target opponent. Almost multi-player based, but I didn't think they were doing that way back in Mirage.

Direct damage in green, as others have stated, this is quite good in the right deck. For two mana, its about as cheap as you can get for non-flying creature removal in green. In a swarm deck you should rarely have trouble dealing with pesky creatures.
