If this cost just BR or 1BR then it may be worth playing but even in a Commander game do you really think paying 2BR plus 3 life to kill one creature is worth it? There's also the risk of paying up the life and your spell gets countered or if one of the targets becomes illegal. Too risky when you could instead be playing Ashes to Ashes.
